Sealing Your Home in Loveland, CO
If you want the expert opinion of an insulation services specialist, one of the most effective ways to make your home warmer and more energy efficient is air sealing. What exactly is this service? It’s not keeping all air from entering your home. Air circulation and ventilation in your rooms is extremely important. However, air leaking in and out of your home from small gaps in the attic, between the walls and windows or doors where it is not filtered or intentional is not good for your home or your health.
One major goal of air sealing your house is to prevent warm air from leaving it during the winter months. The first sign of a properly air-sealed home is lower heating and electric bills. Sealing your home also blocks those tiny gaps that allow air to circulate unchecked and contribute to the presence of mold, mildew, and airborne allergens.
Professional insulation is the best method of air sealing a house and should be left to an experienced contractor. They can perform proper air sealing of the attic and other parts of your home or business, such as a basement or crawl space that would be difficult for you to reach. The most common air sealing techniques include using spray foam or caulking all holes, electrical boxes, knee walls, recessed can lights and other intrusions in your attics. This will block air drafts and keep additional dust from entering. The right air sealing product is picked by our knowledgeable installers based upon the location and flame retardant properties of each spot that needs sealing.

Insulation Pros of Colorado is a team of professionals with over 10 years of experience in air sealing and other insulation services for residential homes. Our service area includes:
We’re in a position to understand how insulation works now that we understand the basics of heat flow. The primary purpose of insulation is to slow the process of conductive and convective heat flow. While you can find and install radiant heat barriers to prevent your home from warming through the heat of the sun, energy-efficient insulation is a much more common solution.
As we noted above, you’ve probably become used to the top floor of your home being much warmer than the basement, and this is because warm air has the tendency to rise until an equilibrium is reached. In the summer, the radiant heat from the sun increases the temperature inside your home and must be offset by your cooling system. In the winter, the heat your home loses must be replaced by your heating system.
Insulation Pros is the region’s preferred insulation company for a reason. We have the experience you should demand in a contractor, having helped thousands of commercial and residential property owners throughout Colorado keep their buildings safe and comfortable.
All of our technicians have completed extensive training to enable them to deliver expert-level services. Our only goal is to use our expertise to ensure the results of unquestionable quality for every project we take on. Get in touch today, and we’ll help you choose the insulation that suits your needs and budget best.
Fiberglass is non-combustible and requires no additional fire retardant chemical treatments. Fiberglass is also one of the most thoroughly tested insulation materials available and is not considered to be classified as a carcinogen.
Yes, we do post-insulation in existing buildings, and we also do existing walls. The easiest places to add insulation without removing the drywall are attics and crawl spaces.
The short answer is, it depends. The size and type of property, existing insulation, and the area you need to insulate all play a major role in determining the final cost of the project. If you want to get a better idea of how much your home insulation will cost, schedule a free, no-obligation energy assessment today.

Derrick with Insulation Pros of Colorado came out to our home to provide a quote for service. He was very professional and after reviewing our needs, he recommended using a different product. I appreciate the fact that he could have have tried for the hard sell and given us service that didn't suit our needs, but chose not to. I asked him for a few business cards so I could hand them out if anyone asked for a referral.

finish. I was primarily concerned about acoustics and sound mitigation and they provided some great, practical advice about the trade-offs between the different materials and price/performance. They were very responsive to turning quotes and answers around quickly, and online (very modern for a contractor!). They even went the extra mile and installed some insulation around the bottom of the floating walls to provide extra fire blocking. They were super courteous and professional throughout the entire process - including cleaning up completely when the job was done. I'm very happy I went with Insulation Pros instead of having a dry wall contractor doing it. They do one thing, and they do it very well.

Understanding the Benefits of Air Sealing
Air sealing plays a crucial role in enhancing your home's energy efficiency. By sealing gaps and leaks, you can significantly reduce the amount of heated or cooled air that escapes, leading to lower energy bills and a more comfortable living environment.
In addition to cost savings, effective air sealing helps prevent moisture intrusion, which can lead to mold growth and structural damage. This process not only protects your home but also improves indoor air quality by reducing allergens and pollutants, making it a vital aspect of home maintenance.
Choosing the Right Air Sealing Materials
Selecting the appropriate materials for air sealing is essential for achieving long-lasting results. Common options include spray foam, caulking, and weatherstripping, each offering unique benefits depending on the specific application and area being sealed.
For instance, spray foam is ideal for filling larger gaps and providing insulation, while caulking works best for smaller cracks around windows and doors. Understanding the characteristics of each material will help you make informed decisions that enhance the effectiveness of your air sealing project.
Common Areas to Seal in Your Home
Identifying the most critical areas to seal in your home can lead to significant improvements in energy efficiency. Key locations include attics, basements, windows, and doors, where air leaks are most likely to occur.
By focusing on these high-leak areas, homeowners can maximize their energy savings and create a more comfortable living space. Regular inspections and maintenance of these areas are recommended to ensure that your air sealing remains effective over time.

Moreover, professional services often include a comprehensive energy audit, which can provide valuable insights into your home's overall energy performance.
